05:57 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin (LMT) said late Wednesday it plans to create 6,000 jobs across the US, including 2,000 in Texas, as it expands advanced manufacturing capacity to accelerate production of critical munitions. The company is investing $300 million to expand its Grand Prairie, Texas, facility to more than 735,000 square feet. Hadrian will install a 24-machine automated machining cell at the facility, which is expected to be operational in early 2027. The expansion is part of Lockheed Martin's broader commitment to invest $8 billion to $9 billion through 2030 to scale munitions production and modernize or expand more than 20 facilities across the US, the company said.
