PENGU Drops 7.5% as Memecoin Selloff Puts Key Support at Risk

  • PENGU fell 7.5% as broader memecoin selling intensified across the crypto market.
  • PENGU broke below $0.007983 while trading beneath key EMAs and VWAP.
  • Buyers must reclaim broken support, while continued weakness could expose lower price levels.

Pudgy Penguins is facing fresh selling pressure as traders reduce memecoin exposure. The token dropped roughly 7.5% during the past 24 hours. Trading volume also stayed below recent averages, suggesting limited panic among sellers. No major exploit, listing, unlock, or project announcement triggered the decline. Instead, broader weakness across memecoins appears to have pushed PENGU lower. The latest move also broke local support, leaving traders watching key price levels for signs of stabilization.

PENGU Faces Broader Memecoin Selling Pressure

PENGU has fallen between 7.3% and 7.5% over the past day. Spot trading volume reached roughly $168.39 million during the same period. The seven-day average remains near $230 million. Therefore, current activity sits around 73% of recent trading norms. Such volume does not suggest a major panic-driven liquidation event. The weekly picture looks weaker, with PENGU down around 17.6%. The broader crypto market has also experienced renewed selling pressure.

Total crypto market capitalization declined roughly 2.3% during the past day. Altcoins collectively fell around 1.4% over the same period. PENGU’s daily decline therefore stands out against broader market weakness. The token dropped more than five times the average altcoin move. Such performance points toward stronger pressure within memecoins and NFT-linked assets. Traders may be reducing exposure after a previous period of strong performance.

Social activity also reflects weakness across several mainstream memecoins. Market participants have highlighted selling across PENGU, BONK, and FARTCOIN. Such moves often occur when traders rotate capital toward safer market segments. Popular meme assets can face heavier selling during these rotations. Their strong liquidity also allows traders to exit positions more easily.

Technical Breakdown Leaves Key Support Vulnerable

Technical signals provide another explanation for the latest decline. A one-hour chart shows PENGU closing near $0.007467. That close fell below a previous pivot low around $0.007983. Price also remained below several exponential moving averages and VWAP. Relative strength index readings near 33 showed considerable selling pressure. However, the indicator had not reached deeply oversold territory.

That leaves room for further weakness if sellers maintain control. The technical structure therefore remains fragile near current levels. BBQ. Notably, analysts reported no unusual volume expansion during the breakdown. A lack of volume expansion suggests limited evidence of a major external catalyst. Instead, sellers may have amplified weakness after PENGU lost local support.

Stop losses and short positions could then accelerate the downward move.PENGU now needs buyers to reclaim broken support and rebuild momentum. A sustained recovery above previous pivot levels could improve short-term sentiment. Continued weakness could expose lower support zones as traders reassess risk.

Betting Big on AI Burns Through Cash Cows—This Time, the Market No Longer "Rewards Burning Money"!

The AI spending race faces profitability scrutiny: Google’s search advertising growth rate has dropped to its lowest in five quarters, and Amazon’s single-quarter free cash flow has plunged to -$33.5 billion. Yet both companies continue with capital expenditure plans exceeding $400 billion. As their core cash-generating businesses lose momentum and debt and financing needs surge, the market is shifting from rewarding AI investment to questioning returns, forcing a re-evaluation of the valuation logic for tech giants.

Wall Street Sees AWS’s Ambition, But Can’t See the Future of Amazon’s Advertising Business

Amazon's Q3 financial report presents a mixed picture: AWS order backlog soared by 189% to $578 billion, and the CEO made the rare promise that growth will exceed 40% in 2027-2028, aiming for $1 trillion in revenue within five to ten years. However, advertising business growth plunged from 26% to 12%, and capital expenditure reached $77.3 billion, far exceeding expectations, causing the stock price to fall 7% after hours. While major Wall Street banks collectively maintain their “buy” ratings, they admit that the structural risks posed by AI agents to the advertising ecosystem remain unresolved.
